When editing a page under the Edit Page tab, users can place double brackets around text. Once the page is saved, this text appears as a link and the double brackets do not show around the text.

In some cases, you may need to write about creating a link. In such cases you might wish to use double brackets, but also wish them appear under the normal View Page tab.

While editing the page, place an exclamation point (!) before the first set of double brackets. Doing so will prevent the link from being made and allow the brackets will appear under View Page. Below two links have been created in the Edit Page view. The link on the left was created normally with double brackets. In the link on the right, an exclamation point was placed immediately before the double brackets.

Notice under View Page that the brackets disappear in the link on the left and a link is made. In the link on the right, the exclamation point disappears, the brackets do appear, and no link is made.
