Wenkspraak, or "hint-speech", is the name of the adaption of Cued Speech to the Afrikaans language. Wenkspraak was developed in 1977 by Dr. R. Orin Cornett and Dr. Johan Hamilton, then principal of the Worcester School for the Deaf in Worcester, South Africa.
